W hat goes into a bourbon blend? Way more than you can imagine.
In this interactive session hosted by Kenny Coleman of Pursuit Spirits and Bourbon Pursuit, you will hear how a passion for bourbon kicked off the world's largest whiskey podcast which turned into creating their very own bourbon brand. With their existing audience of bourbon enthusiasts, they had to create a product that wasn't built on Ross & Squibb (MGP) or sourced from the usual suspects. Instead, they looked at the future of bourbon by bringing multiple distillates, mash bills, barrel types, aging environments, and proof levels to create a proprietary blend that is unlike any other called Pursuit United.
You will get the rare opportunity to sample all of the components in the blend at cask strength, hear the stories of how they were discovered, and then sample the final product. At the end of the session, you will gain a greater understanding of how blending can elevate the strengths between multiple whiskey types and how Pursuit United is tailored for the bourbon enthusiast.
T his will take place at the Spec's Downtown Location at 2410 Smith Street in their newly designed classroom. Bottles will be available for sale before and after the event.
